Egypt: Is Kuntar Worth it?
“Too many people are jovial about the return of Samir Al Kuntar, with even Nasrallah informing him that the 2006 war was for him. The question I would like to pose here, regardless of whether or not Kuntar is a child killer , is it worth it?” writes Sandmonkey, from Egypt.
Where is the coverage of the 197 Dead Bodies?
Quoting the inimitable Professor Abu-Khalil in California: These are 197 dead bodies delivered by Israel to Lebanon in the prisoner exchange. The two dead Israeli soldiers have received more coverage those those 197 dead Arab bodies. Hell, dead Israeli soldiers receive more coverage than all the Arab living. Such are the racist standards of the White Man. This explains why MEMRI sent out a
Is it worth it?
Too many people are jovial about the return of Samir Al Kuntar, with even Nasrallah informing him that the 2006 war was for him. The question I would like to pose here, regardless of whether or not Kuntar is a child killer , is it worth it? Oh, and look at the below table before you make that answer, please!

The sweet taste of Victory, ehh?
A hero or a notorious murderer
It is something expected to find all that attack against the Lebanese people and Hezbollah after the release and huge hero reception of Samir Kuntar.

Marxism 2008: Class Struggle and Resistance in Lebanon
Comrade Bassem speaking at Marxism 2008…
Stupid statements
President Sarko is saying strange things in order to please the Americans , illogical things , I do not know if it is because the love fever he has lately that made him go to Euro Disney or because he sit too long with El-Gaddafi !!??
The French Presidency said that Syria should let Lebanon elect a president in the next couple of days quickly before Tuesday "the 25th of December 2007" otherwise Syria will face consequences !!
What Consequences is he speaking about ??
What will happen to Syria if no president will be elected before next Tuesday !???
Will he announce the war against Syria ??
Will he impose French Economic sanctions on centralized Economy- Syria ??
Stupidity ,purely Stupidity read more »
Who killed El-Hajj??
Who really was behind the blast which killed General François El-Hajj ??
This terrorist act for sure will be included in the Lebanese Murder X-files , and it is one hell of a long archives of Blasts for sure . Who was behind it will be the ultimate question with no official answer ,just like the rest of the blasts and assassination in Lebanon.
Yet the death of the man who could have been the commander of the Lebanese army should not be closed immediately or to be forgotten easily because it did not only throw its dark shadow on the Lebanese Presidential election issue but it may throw to its dark shadow on even further like that. read more »

Another car bombing in Lebanon
Today I've added to my list yet another reason we need Al Jazeera English in this country. There was just another car bomb that exploded in Verdan, following on the heels of the car bomb in Aschrafiyeh yesterday and the fighting between Islamists and the Lebanese army that left dozens dead. LBC is covering it but I find nary a word on the major US news sources. They're still reporting on the fighting from yesterday. Lebanon is too vulnerable to survive a coordinated attack by Al Qaeda sympathizers or affiliates, poised as the country is on the edge of civil war. I fear it could become another Iraq. Yesterday LBC showed a picture of an army troop that had been shot in the head being carried to the ambulance. read more »
Ghanem's Last Moment and survey of MSM and Blogger takes on the Assassination
The MPs came back from Dubai, Egypt, Europe, with different names, different license plates and secret itineraries. But it didn't protect them from being killed, and there is fear that more are to come before the presidential elections. Today LBC had an interview with a friend and colleague of Antoine Ghanem’s in which he talked about the last moments together before Ghanem was killed by a car bomb. They met at his office to discuss a case, said his friend from his hospital bed, the cuts and scrapes on his face a bright red in contrast to his pale hospital gown. Ghanem was chain smoking despite having had heart surgery, and his friend warned him not to. “No one dies before his time,” replied Ghanem in what was apparently his usual manner. read more »
MP Assasinated in Beirut: Antoine Ghanem Killed by Car Bomb
Another assassination has rocked Lebanon as the contested presidential elections draw closer. MP Antoine Ghanem was killed yesterday at 5pm when a car bomb exploded under his car in Beirut. Ghanem, a member of the March 14 movement, is the latest in a string of assassinations that have plagued anti-Syrian politicians in Lebanon.
Ghanem had been out of the country because after the assassination of MP Eido in June he was threatened and decided to go to Abu Dhabi. But he decided to return a couple of days ago so he could take part in the election preparations. Ghanem knew he was a target and even took off the standard blue license plates MPs typically use and replaced them with regular ones, according to LBC.

Lebanese Elections
The Lebanese Parliamentary Elections on the 2 vacant seats in Beirut and El Matn resulting from the assassination of Anti Syria Politicians Walid Eido and Pierre El Gemayel are over and it is now the time to analyze their results.
The easy case for analysis is that of Beirut. Many articles were written in the pro Syrian Media about the lack of voter participation. A clear analysis of past results reveal that such claims are unreal.

The $770m kiss
Its no surprise that not even a peep is heard about the irony of having the West pay for the reconstruction of Lebanon a SECOND TIME(!) after Israel's second assault in July 2006. The $7.6b might seem like a great amount, but it is literally a drop in the bucket when you consider that Bush is going to ask for another $100b to fund his war on Iraq. In the meantime, a Disney-like encounter between
