I don’t like her so much; actually I don’t like her at all. But when it comes to politics I think she is the one who can get things done.
Obama is a very charismatic man, I like to listen to him, I like his spirit, his energy, and his smart phrases, but he is only a junior in the school of politics and the world of reality.
I wanted to get that opinion out long time ago, but I have chosen now, because Hilary is one step away from losing the nomination of the democratic party, and by speaking out about why I like her to get the nomination, it should prove to any one that I am not a popularist, and I don’t care if my opinion is not popular either.
Why Hillary?
In my own opinion, this is why I think Hilary is better:
- More than 25 years of hard-core politics, with real people and real issues.
- She is not going to be alone , because she has real network of politicians, business men and women, real experience in dealing with politics on capitol hill , and of course the Clinton’s legacy.
- Because she is a female, and please don’t think I want her to be president just to make history, because Obama will make history if elected as the 1st black president of the United States. But it has been long overdue for women to be presidents in a country like the US. It’s time now for us to see a woman in this position, and not just another man.
- Hillary’s agenda does not differ much from Obama’s agenda; both are similar, so a more experienced person is more important and crucial than an inexperienced one. Some one who can implement is more important than some one who says I want to implement.
- She has strong relationships with world leaders, and organizations through her work or her husband’s work, and she can communicate better with all of them.
- She is wiser by far, not taken by the whims of the moment, and the energy of the hour.
- She is so serious, unstoppable, hopeful, determined, and even with the continuing lead of Obama; she is not that far away from him. She won him in many states.
- She is more electable in the swing states on November 2008.
- She is backed by the wisdom, experience, and politics fluency of President Clinton, who can be the best advisor for her. I think that Clinton was one of the best presidents ever in the history of the United states of America,
- We don’t need another Bush who thinks he is the savior of the modern world; it does not matter if you think you are a prophet from GOD, who receives inspiration from him, or some one who thinks he is the Martin Luther king’s successor. It does not matter any more , I don’t think we need to have some one who wants to out do Bush, who did not have no clue in politics what so ever.
- Hillary can do diplomacy, negotiate and implement not in a reactionary way. I think she knows what she is doing, and she is the one who should get the nomination.
There is one thing that bothers me, which is: gender and ethnicity.
What ever the results of the democratic race will be, I think what really is going to be manifested in June, is either what won what?
Gender won ethnicity, or ethnicity won gender …if you know what I mean.
Some think that I should have supported Obama because he has some Muslim background, and since I am Muslim I should support him too. Well, the guy’s background or dad’s religious background does not matter to me in the least bit. On the contrary, some times I think – be it right or wrong - that Obama might do “crazy stuff” against some Muslim nations that even Bush did not dare to do , just to prove that his loyalty is first and foremost is for the states.
Like it or not. US policies affect the world directly and indirectly, and I think what we need is a wise leader, not a cow boy nor a rock star.
At the end , who ever wins the nomination, I am going to support him/her against the republican candidate …I think America and the world will be better off with a democratic president , or at least this what I think as of now.
I think now you know whose getting my vote next November.
