Fedora 9 is about to be released, I have to tell, I was waiting for such release because it has major improvements.

One really promising thing is KDE 4.0, it has a new UI and really some great applications like “Plasma”:

for sure everything in the new version will be customizable like previous versions, and when it come to KDE I believe that I’m a GURU!

New Bluetooth improvements, I use bluetooth in linux, really it has GREAAAAAAAT features and great applications to manage the whole thing, the Kbluetooth application and kMobileTools are really great applications that may help you to get connected to your mobile using Fedora Box. I had a problem to start the bluetooth device on my Laptop before and to totally connect it to my mobile phone, but I searched till I got it working :).

The problem really is confusing, the reason is the bluetooth device on my laptop is turned on with the Wireless when you use the hardware button, but the Radio Transmission is turned on using Software called Toshiba Bluetooth Stack, and there is no clone for such application on *nix boxes.
So I hope this is fixed in the coming release.

Firefox 3, will be included also in this version and this is really a great step, I totally support firefox and I think it’s the best browser ever!

One problem I face with moving from a version to another, is moving my files, on my localhost, databases, my customized preferences - although this will be solved by Import/Export features in most programs nowadays -.

The next version is really promising, I will post another topic soon including my opinion in the distro after I install it, it may be after the exams, but I dun think I can wait .
